The Norway norwegian TV station announced plans on hosting an eSports league.

For the start, the league that will have 10 rounds will feature three games League of Legends, Starcraft 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

The announcement was made by the TV station representants as they stated:

"Initially the focus is on three games in the League of Legends, Starcraft 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The season will go over ten rounds.

TV 2 will stand the editorial and technical expertise, and the House of Nerds for infrastructure and technical skill. The broadcasts come primarily to go on TV 2 Sumo, but viewers will also get some e-sports on TV 2 Sport."

The South Korea GOM.tv director South Korea Oh Juyang and caster and manager at GOM.tv South KoreaZerg Mr.Chae have both joined the former Starcraft:BroodWar streaming channel South Korea AfreecaTV.

This is most likely a move for the guys behind AfreecaTV to go international as the channel was until now a korean based broadcasting channel.

No official announcement was made public until now, also it is uncertain whom will be the new director over at GOM.tv.

The first season of the China Kung Fu Cup 2015 was announced.

First details were made public and we now have three players confirmed for the event.

The first players are South KoreaProtoss PartinG, South KoreaZerg Jaedong, TaiwanZerg Sen.

A total of 32 players will be part of the event that will hand out a total of almost $21.120 in cash prize.

It is expected that this event will allow many chinese players to show their skill.

  • The European Union Alienware Area 51 DotA 2 tournament ended seeing the swedes from Sweden NiP take on the russians from Russia Virtus.Pro.

    The final score saw NiP take the game with an close [2-1] game.

    With this win, the players from NiP take home a total of $4.500.

    The final game saw the american team USA EG take on the chinee players from China Vici Gaming.

    The final game was an impressive game from the americans as they came from the Lower Bracket after losing to the same Vici Gaming and managing to grab the first place with an clear [3-0] scoreline.

    With this, the americans take home over $1.000.000 in cash prize.

  • The european team, European Union Team Tinker, a team known to have some of the best players all across the world, has announced the departure of yet another player, the dutch player Netherlands Weh Sing 'SingSing' Yuen has left the team.

    The reason of his departure is uncertain, to fill in the gap left by the dutch player, the managers have secured the services of Finland Jesse 'JerAx' Vainikka.

    To make it for a full line-up and be able to compete in the future events, the managers have called two more players in the name of "free agent", former USA Team Liquid and USA Team Dignitas player, the canadian Canada Peter 'Waytosexy' Nguyen and former Canada Void Boys player, fellow canadian Canada Zheng 'PatSoul' Yukai.

  • The ukrainian team, Ukraine Natus Vincere has lost one player from their DotA 2 team.

    The ukrainian player Ukraine Gleb 'Funn1k' Lipatnikov has left the team, the reason seems to be the fact that the player now has other goals in his life, Ukraine Funn1k stated:

    “Hello, dear fans. I have a sad news for you today: I’ve decided to leave our friendly family, which took me 2 years ago. This was a tough decision. My priorities have changed by now. I might regret this decision in future.

    However I want to go my own way and to write a new page in my life. I am very grateful to the organization, all the guys, with whom I played and spent almost all my time. I experienced many positive emotions and negative too, but there were more positive emotions after all :). I wish much success and good luck to everyone.

    Once again thanks a lot for the time we spent together. Additionally I want to thank to all the devoted fans, who believed in us even at the hardest times.     The reason of the decision is unknown, the announcement was made by the managers of the team via the official socialization page of the team where it is stated:

    "Unfortunately,we shuold announce that Maksim Shachlo leaves Power Rangers. Big thanks to him for work and professionalism!"

  • The first round of the South Korea ProLeague 2015 has ended with a game between South Korea SK TelecomT1 and South Korea Jin Air Green Wings.

    The game saw an easy win for the best team in South Korea KeSpa at the moment as SK TelecomT1 took down Jin Air Green Wings with an easy [4-2] scoreline.

    With this win, SK TelecomT1 took a total of $14.235 in cash prize and +40 points while Jin Air Green Wings took $4.475 and a total of +10 points for their effort.
